I Love Africa

Simple as that. Ever since my first visit to Africa, when I in 1998 went deep into the jungle of DR Congo to make a documentary, I have been in love with this magical and amazing continent.

Since then I have been fortunate enough to visit Africa repeatedly, and the fascination has only deepened.

In 2009 I published the photo-documentary book Women Carry Half The Sky. Read more about it
here.

Here are a couple of simple films I’ve made there lately.

The Mountains of the Moon

We were a group of nine Norwegians and one German who climbed Mt Margherita (5.109 m) in the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda in April 2011.
This is the film of our journey to the peak.

GLAD Farm

I have become a farmer! Never thought this would happen... Well, not full time, but I am one of the owners of GLAD Farm in Uganda. This is just super exciting!

Here are a couple of very simple films I made from the early days on the farm.
